Federal League
Baseball: An Opportunity To Break Into Professional Baseball Or
Advance Your Career
Since
1993, over 300 professional players have showcased their skills
while playing in Federal League Baseball.
Some
of these players were undrafted high school or college players
that needed exposure to scouts, some were high school and
college prospects that sought to sharpen their skills against
top notch competition prior to getting drafted, and some were
were former pro players looking to revive their careers or stay
in game shape while awaiting their next contract.
There exists many more options for
players now than there was back in 1993. The internet has ads
for showcases and "pay to play" leagues that present
players with a platform to demonstrate their abilities.
However, showcases can cost between
$99 and $450 for a one or two day event. "Pay to Play"
leagues charge thousands of dollars for, on average, 16-18
games. Federal League Baseball provides a full 28 game season, plus playoffs, for less than $400.
Most recently, right handed pitcher
Cristian Reyes utilized Federal League Baseball to attract pro
scouts. Based on his performance in the league, the Los Angeles
Angels drafted Reyes in the 21st round of the 2018 MLB draft and signed him for a
$50,000 bonus. In 2019, first baseman Michael Deeb received a minor league contract from the Chicago White Sox after playing in our Fall/Winter
season, and Brandon Vicens was signed by the Chicago Cubs in
March, 2019.
Federal League Baseball allows
aspiring professional ballplayers to play a full 28 game season
(plus playoffs) for a fraction of the cost.
Here is what Federal League players
get:
*A 28 game regular season (with two to three
games per week).
*Series based (best 3 out of 5) playoff structure.
*Weekly evaluations to chart your progress.
*Daily updates and game stories on the league website.
*Player statistics updated daily.
*All-Star Game.
*League sponsored practices and training throughout the season.
Most league games are played at the
Pompano Beach Baseball Complex, former spring training home of
the Texas Rangers: Map
To get signed, you need to be seen. Federal
League Baseball gives its players the instruction, training, and
game experience necessary to get scouted.
Federal League Baseball gives its
players continued access to being scouted by Major League and
Independent League organizations and promotes qualified players
to their scouts.
Additionally, once you sign a pro
contract, you do not owe us anything. Federal League, unlike
some other organizations, does not charge an agent's fee, or
commission, if you sign.
